In 2023, Annika joined Ember as a Climate Policy Advisor (Coal Mine Methane) to build upon Ember’s research and advocacy in Australia to reduce coal mine methane emissions.

Annika is a legal advocate with experience in climate policy from the government, private and not-for-profit sectors. In 2022, they were appointed an Honorary Visiting Fellowship at the Australian National University College of Law to research environmental decision-making practices in Australia.

They live on Ngunnawal Country (Canberra, Australia) and when not at work can be found bush walking, bird watching or scuba diving.
