Charles Moore

European Programme Lead

Charles leads Ember’s European programme, working to shift the energy debate towards the most effective policies to reduce climate change – and empower other advocates to do the same. Charles is currently focused on putting Europe on track for emissions-free electricity by 2035 and securing the policy and market changes needed to get there.

Charles has a background in utilities and joined Ember in 2017 after spending 5 years at RWE in a variety of roles spanning electricity, natural gas and commodities trading. He’s particularly interested in clean technology’s impact on geopolitics, society and the environment. Outside of work, you’ll find him hiking, anywhere there’s hills and some sunshine.
