Sanghyun Hong

Sanghyun has a diverse background with experience as a mechanical engineer, data scientist, and power-sector analyst for several years prior to joining Ember’s Global Insights team.

He works to provide insights into the electrification of the global non-power energy sector, aiming to accelerate the decarbonization of the entire energy production and demand. San holds two MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Sungkyunkwan University in Korea), and Environmental Management (the University of Queensland in Australia).

He received a Ph.D. from the school of Biology but focused on sustainable energy (the University of Adelaide in Australia).
