Yesterday was the third anniversary of the Kyoto Protocol coming into force and to mark the occasion an ex-colleague, Dr. Dan Barlow, contributed an article to the Scotsman newspaper.

The number of comments posted in response attempting to rubbish the idea that climate change is happening is scary. It made me realise that when we open sandbag up for public comment we are going to have to expect the same kind of reactions. Thankfully one respondent posted a link to a web page which completely takes apart the arguments most commonly used to challenge the science behind climate change. It was written in response to Channel 4’s irresponsible ‘documentary’ The Great Global Warming Swindle and makes for an enlightening if somewhat lengthy read. We may have to prepare a concise version and keep it handy for if and when an onslaught from the flat-earthers begins.
