Shiyao Zhang

Shiyao joined Ember as a Communication Officer to strengthen outreach activities in Asia. Born and raised in western China, she has worked and studied in various countries and currently resides in Paris, France. Prior to joining Ember, she focused on digital communication at REN21, a renewable energy policy network. Additionally, she has collaborated with several international and local NGOs on human rights advocacy. Holding a master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action, she is deeply passionate about gender equality and climate justice. Outside of work, you can find her in climbing gyms or reading in parks.
